BarberHero Professional, Barbershop & Hybrid Provider Terms

Version 1.2 — effective 19 September 2026

These terms apply to mobile barbers, barbershops, hybrid providers, account owners, and authorised team members using BarberHero Pro (together, "providers").

BarberHero is operated by GLOBAL URBAN SOLUTIONS LTD, trading as BarberHero, company number 17150360, registered office 30B Brockley Rise, London, SE23 1PR, United Kingdom ("BarberHero", "we", "us").

1. Provider type and authority

You must select and maintain the provider type that reflects how you actually operate:

  • Mobile barber: travels to customers and sets a service area.
  • Barbershop: provides appointments at the registered venue.
  • Hybrid: provides appointments at the venue and sends authorised professionals to customers.

If you act for a company, partnership, barbershop, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it and manage its account. You must promptly update BarberHero if your provider type, venue, ownership, authority, or operating model changes.

2. BarberHero's role

BarberHero supplies a technology, booking, discovery, communication, and administration platform. The provider supplies the barbering or grooming service and contracts directly with the customer for that service.

BarberHero does not control how a provider performs professional services and does not guarantee bookings, demand, income, customers, applicants, or uninterrupted platform access.

3. Employment and business status

An individual operating their own mobile business is responsible for their business, tax, National Insurance, insurance, and regulatory obligations. A barbershop or hybrid provider is responsible for determining the correct legal and tax status of every owner, employee, worker, contractor, chair renter, substitute, or team member it engages.

Labels in the app do not determine employment status. The actual working relationship and applicable law do. Nothing in these terms removes employment, worker, agency-worker, minimum-wage, holiday-pay, pension, PAYE, National Insurance, equality, or health-and-safety rights or duties that apply.

BarberHero is not the employer, engager, payroll provider, or tax adviser of a provider or team member unless a separate written agreement signed by BarberHero expressly says otherwise.

4. Accurate information, checks, and approval

You must provide accurate, current information and use your real identity and legitimate business details. You must hold and maintain all rights, permissions, qualifications, registrations, licences, and insurance reasonably required for your activities.

Approval or a "verified" label means only that BarberHero completed the checks expressly described at that time. It is not a guarantee of identity, qualifications, quality, solvency, insurance, right to work, employment status, or future conduct.

We may request evidence, conduct proportionate checks, or pause access while reviewing safety, identity, legal, or fraud concerns.

5. Team members and account access

A shop or hybrid account owner is responsible for:

  • obtaining each team member's permission before adding their information, photo, schedule, or services;
  • giving team members the Privacy Policy and any employment or contractor privacy information the business must provide;
  • assigning only authorised access and promptly removing access when it is no longer needed;
  • maintaining accurate individual working hours, availability, services, and location assignments;
  • supervising service quality, hygiene, conduct, safeguarding, and customer safety; and
  • meeting all pay, tax, right-to-work, employment-status, equality, insurance, and health-and-safety duties for its team.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must not share credentials insecurely.

6. Services, safety, and professional standards

Providers must:

  • perform services with reasonable care and skill and comply with consumer law;
  • use safe, clean, maintained equipment and follow appropriate hygiene and infection-control practices;
  • disclose accurate services, durations, prices, locations, and payment methods;
  • act professionally, lawfully, and without harassment or unlawful discrimination;
  • assess venue and mobile-appointment risks and maintain suitable insurance; and
  • report serious incidents and cooperate with a reasonable safety investigation.

You must not attend or perform services while impaired, engage in threatening or inappropriate conduct, or knowingly create an unsafe situation.

7. Customer bookings and direct payment

Under the current Launch Offer, an eligible customer's first booking fee is £0. Unless another price or promotion is displayed, the standard fee for a later booking is £3.99 for a mobile appointment and £1.99 for a barbershop appointment. Stripe processes a booking fee only when the amount due is above £0. Under the current direct-payment model, the customer pays the confirmed service price directly to the provider after the service using a payment method enabled by the provider.

BarberHero Pro currently costs £0 per month and BarberHero does not deduct commission from the displayed service price. Providers keep the service price they collect and are responsible for receipts, taxes, records, refunds, chargebacks involving their own collection method, and compliance with payment rules. Opportunity publication is a separate paid feature: its final price is shown before purchase, and professionals apply for Opportunities free.

Do not add hidden charges. A higher price may be charged only where the customer expressly agrees to an additional or changed service.

Legacy bookings may follow an older payment or verification-code flow. Follow the instructions attached to that booking.

8. Availability, cancellations, and rescheduling

Maintain accurate provider and team-member working hours. Once a booking is accepted, attend on time and use the correct appointment status. Repeated no-shows, avoidable late cancellations, manipulated availability, or inaccurate statuses may lead to proportionate restrictions.

Set reasonable customer cancellation and reschedule notice periods and honour the policy displayed at booking. If the provider cancels a current direct-payment booking, the customer is entitled to return of any eligible BarberHero booking fee actually paid under the platform flow and may also have rights against the provider. A booking fee waived to £0 has no cash refund value.

9. Mobile service, venue, and live location

Mobile and hybrid providers must keep service-area and work-location information accurate. Use On My Way and location sharing only for a genuine accepted appointment. Location data must not be manipulated or used to track a customer outside the booking purpose.

Barbershops must keep the public venue address and any access information accurate and ensure the premises are safe, suitable, insured, and legally operated.

10. Customer data, messages, and confidentiality

Use customer names, addresses, phone numbers, booking information, messages, and location data only to fulfil the relevant booking, meet legal obligations, handle a genuine complaint, or for another lawful purpose clearly explained to the customer.

Do not export, sell, scrape, disclose, or use platform data for unrelated marketing. You are independently responsible for your own data-protection compliance when you decide how to use customer or team-member data outside BarberHero's instructions.

11. Reviews, portfolios, and other content

Only upload content you own or are authorised to use. Do not upload misleading, unlawful, infringing, discriminatory, or privacy-invasive content. You retain ownership but grant BarberHero a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, moderate, and display the content as needed to operate and promote BarberHero.

Do not manipulate reviews, impersonate another person, or pressure a customer to remove an honest review.

12. Opportunities

Use of BarberHero Opportunities is also governed by the separate BarberHero Opportunities Terms. Those terms form part of this agreement whenever you post, apply for, discuss, select, or accept an opportunity.

Professionals apply free and keep 100% of the pay agreed with the hiring business. The hiring business pays the professional directly and is responsible for the engagement, status, written terms, pay, checks, and legal duties. BarberHero's separately displayed publication charge is paid by the hiring business for posting and platform access; it is not a Pro subscription charge and is not deducted from the professional's pay.

13. Prohibited use and platform integrity

Do not use BarberHero for fraud, unlawful services, harassment, discrimination, unsafe conduct, fake availability, misleading profiles, payment evasion, unauthorised access, scraping, malware, or interference with the platform.

You may communicate directly where a booking or Opportunity feature permits it. You must not misuse customer or applicant data or deceptively move a confirmed platform transaction off-platform to avoid an expressly disclosed BarberHero charge.

14. Suspension and termination

We may warn, reduce visibility, restrict, suspend, or close an account where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, non-payment of BarberHero charges, material breach, or protection of users. We will consider the circumstances and, where appropriate, provide reasons and an opportunity to respond.

You may stop using BarberHero, subject to completing active bookings, Opportunities, refunds, and other outstanding obligations. Clauses that by nature should continue after closure remain effective.

15. Responsibility and liability

The provider is responsible for its professional services, premises, personnel, customer contracts, direct collections, taxes, insurance, and legal compliance. Each Opportunity hiring business and applicant is responsible for the direct engagement between them, subject to BarberHero's own statutory duties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BarberHero is not liable for a user's independent acts or omissions, loss of anticipated bookings or profits, inaccurate user-provided information, or indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. For business users only, BarberHero's aggregate contractual liability arising from the platform in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the platform charges that user paid to BarberHero in that period, except where a limitation is not legally permitted.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of data-protection duties where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, payment obligations, or any other liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

16. Indemnity for business misuse

If you are a business user, you will reimburse BarberHero for reasonable, direct losses, liabilities, and costs finally awarded or agreed in settlement that result from your unlawful services, employment or tax breach, infringement of third-party rights, misuse of personal data, or material breach of these terms. This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by BarberHero and does not remove any duty to mitigate loss.

17. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains BarberHero's processing. You must provide any separate privacy information required for processing you control, including employee, worker, contractor, applicant, or customer records held in your own systems.

18. Changes, law, and contact

We may update these terms for changes to the service, law, safety, or operations. We will publish the effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes, requesting fresh acceptance where appropriate.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rights that apply to an individual acting as a consumer.
